Wow, what a weekend!! 😎

Rothbury welcomed the legendary @gowaan_mtb to coach over 40 local kids who had an absolute blast on their bikes. Massive thanks to @emmz_edt for her vision, energy & organisation to make this happen, along with the awesome guys at Coquet Valley Trails.

Not only that, @jmattpm launched his incredible book ‘Gravel Rides Northumberland’, celebrating the big day with over 60 people riding out from SCRUB HQ.
Pick up your copy in store & try out the route for yourself.

It has been an absolute pleasure to host 2 such inspiring events & see so many smiling faces of all ages on 2 wheels.

What's happening at SCRUB Cycles? Spring is here and there's a lot going on - here's a taste:

Sunday 12th April We’re hosting a ride out to celebrate the launch of a newly published gravel ride guide book by local author and rider Jordan Matthews.
Organised in conjunction with Sonder bikes it's your chance to demo a gravel bike from @whytebikes and Sonder.
More details coming up....

April 11th and 12th we've got FREE Kid's mountain bike coaching sessions. Sessions are being run by the Gowaan Girls and funded by Rothbury Bike park in association with Coquet Valley Trails.
It's a full weekend for all ages with coaching taking place indoors at the Jubilee hall, outside at Rothbury Bike park and for the more advanced youngsters, up at Simonside.

Rental Bikes at SCRUB Cycles are new for us this year. We've a range of fully electric bikes from Raleigh and Ghost bikes that can easily take you up into the hills around Rothbury and beyond.

Ladies social MTB rides head out on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Details will be posted on Instagram / Facebook the week before so keep 'em peeled. We've also got a WhatApp group so DM us and we can add you.

There's also a Rothbury Cyclists WhatsApp group where rides get posted / arranged. Mostly Gravel and Road, there's something for everyone. Again DM us and we can get you added.

Workshop is getting nice and busy so make sure you get booked in for your service or repair 👍👍

Finally, The Coquet Classic returns to Rothbury on August 22nd for a day of top class Enduro Mountain Bike racing!

Join us this weekend for our monthly ride. Meet at SCRUB HQ ready to ride for 9.30am. Ride for a couple of hours in the sunshine followed by coffee & cake back at the shop.

After a busy old Christmas and New Year, we're taking a few weeks off before the season really kicks off again.

We'll close on Friday 13th at 17:00 as usual.
